As you probably know, we’re all big fans of our super power matcha green tea, but it’s always nice to know what an expert thinks. So when Caroline Farrell, top London Nutritionist and nutrition expert to Men’s Health and Zest magazine, got in touch we leapt at the chance to put her through our matcha challenge – to drink matcha every day for two weeks and see how it makes you feel. It looks like we’ve got another matcha convert:

“I am a big tea lover. I blame my nationality – we Irish have the biggest per capita tea consumption in the world. I am also a nutritionist. Given the countless health benefits of green tea (energy, skin, antioxidants, fat loss…) I was excited to try out teapigs matcha.

And I wasn’t disappointed. teapigs matcha has a subtle and slightly sweet flavour. You can drink it as a tea or add it to a recipe to boost its antioxidant content. I now include matcha in my breakfast smoothie - along with a handful of frozen mango chunks, a tablespoon of ground flaxseeds and a carton of live yogurt. The fact that matcha has 137 times more antioxidants than regular green tea is a big plus. I’ll be recommending teapigs matcha to my clients”.

Caroline also runs the nutrition clinic essential nutrition where she offers consultations online and face to face. teapigs and essential nutrition have teamed up and are offering you the chance to win an online nutrition consultation with Caroline and some teapigs teas worth £117.
